i can feel the pain...

india is a land of diversity and we indians proudly say that unity in diversity is what makes India stand out from the whole world...

...but i am thinking what is the diversity...on one side, some indians like the TATAs, the MITTALs and the MALLAYAs are makin their mark on the whole world by expanding their reign and the day is not far when the saying that once used to be said for the British empire "the sun never sets in the british raj" will hold true for the India inc.

...and on one side we see manic behavior by our fellow indians in punjab and hyderabad during the recent past.

i was 9 years, 1 month and 5 days old when the BABRI MOSQUE demolition took place and surprisingly, i was a SWYAMSEVAK that time or simply put i was a part of RSS and use to attend the morning shakhas with the veterans thank to the second shift of my school, 11 am to 5 pm.
and even at that point of time i use to argue the validity of the action.since then i have witnessed many communal clashes and every time i feel the same pain, the same grief, the same anger...the media was not that aggressive earlier ...at the time of the 1st reservation protest in 1990, or the Mosque demolition or events after that...it was only after the time of cable invasion and these local news channels cropped up that it has gained the status of paparazzi. even the godhra incident was "well covered" by the media and the recent hyderabad & punjab events.

a tv channel showed a footaged of a person being shot from behind by the police...my question is, was it necessary to run it then rerun it and then rerun it for another 30 minutes of their "exclusive footage" ?? cant they estimate the amount of reaction such moronic activities can evoke?? instead they should have submitted it to the home ministry and demanded action. there are ways to present news, we watch news to get to know what is happening around the world but the news ahould be presented in the way they are meant to be.

next, when u see aimless people burning ambulances, vehicles of public transport and other public and private proerty just for the sake of "demonstration against soemthing" as pity as a person dressing up in a certain fashion, u are tempted to ask to them, was it the ambulance that hurt ur feelings or the state transport bus?? are these vehicles who serve the general public including them are anyway even remotely related to what these people term as "hurting of sentiments"??

won't they require an ambulance if some1 is (god forbid) unhealty or won't they need the same bus to commute to meet their relatives??

all that remains after such act of madness are weeping people, mourning families and memories of the dead...no1 ever thinks about the opportunities of not getting such things repeated....

...when will it end??
